This is the first release of this qualification in the TLIC2016 Professional Chauffeur Training Package.


This is a qualification for those engaged in driving operation job roles within the Limousine/Hire Car Industry.

This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to drive a limousine safely across a variety of driving contexts, in compliance with relevant state/territory roads and Traffic Authority licence requirements and regulations for a commercial vehicle. It includes maintaining systematic and efficient control of all limousine functions, monitoring traffic and road conditions, managing limousine condition and performance, and effectively managing hazardous situations. Driving performed with limited or no supervision, and with full accountability and responsibility for self and others in achieving the prescribed outcomes. This unit meets part of the certification requirements to obtaining Driver Certificate Accreditation. As requirements may vary between states and territories, people seeking chauffeur accreditation should contact their state or territory taxi regulator.

Driver Accreditation Certificate (TSC) requirement complying section 144(2) of Transport (Compliance and miscellaneous) Act 1983

Competency Field C - Vehicle Operation (Driver's License state/territory regulatory requirements)

Packaging rules:

18 Units of Competency comprising:

6 core units listed below plus;

1. licensing/industry elective unit relevant to the vehicle type applicable to the job role from the licensing/industry elective units listed below plus;


All units within Group C, listed below plus;

6 general elective units listed below from the general elective units list.

The units must contribute to the vocational outcomes of the qualification. Where imported units are selected, care must be taken to ensure that all prerequisite units specified are complied with.
